Frequently asked questions

Information for individual and business clients, exams and licenses

What training topics are offered by the Center?

We specialise in organising specialised training courses to enable you to acquire new professional qualifications. These include training courses to prepare for UDT, TDT and other examinations, vocational courses in welding, assembly, cutting, soldering or in electrical and power engineering.
We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the full range of courses on our website.

Who is the training for?

Our training offer is addressed to everyone interested in obtaining qualifications, which are widely sought after on the labor market by employers. The courses can be taken by people without experience, as well as those who already work in the industry, but do not yet have the qualifications to work in an independent position. We require participants to have at least basic education, be 18 years old and have no health contraindications.
Candidates for conservators taking part in the courses should additionally have basic knowledge and skills regarding the following issues:

  • Electrical engineering - the ability to read electrical diagrams
  • Mechanics - materials science: fit tolerance, types of detachable and inseparable connections
  • Plumbing - the ability to read diagrams
  • Ability to read kinematic diagrams

In case of some issues, you can supplement your knowledge at other courses organized in the Center, for example, training from the first group in the field of supervision and operation of energy devices.

What qualifications can you get after the course?

Most of our courses end with an examination by an external unit. By passing the exam, you can obtain the authorization to operate or maintain equipment subject to technical supervision (overhead cranes, cranes, mobile platforms and others), as well as energy or electrical qualifications.

What is the difficulty level of external training and exams? Is there a lot of knowledge to learn during the training?

Whether training is difficult is a matter for individual judgment. The experience of our students, however, shows that it is not easy, and the amount of knowledge to be learned is quite large and requires repeating yourself before the exam. The scope of issues covered during the training is agreed with the units that conduct external examinations. We make every effort to ensure that the knowledge we provide is complete and up-to-date, in line with the frequently changing regulations and standards.

What does the Center provide for participants as part of the course?

Each participant is guaranteed participation in the theoretical and practical part of the course in the number of hours specified during registration. In the practical part, we provide exercises on the maneuvering yard with the use of selected devices, as well as the necessary health and safety equipment. At the end, we issue participants with a simplified training completion supplement, on request, we can also issue a certificate in the form of a card with a photo (additionally payable). The price includes refreshments (coffee, tea and biscuits) during coffee breaks.
We grant all participants access to our training platform. It contains materials helpful in studying for exams: training scripts, instructional videos, as well as a rich database of test questions. The platform can also be used for distance learning - webinars are published there that replace classroom classes.

What are theoretical classes?

Theoretical classes are conducted in the form of a lecture, in-house or online (live webinar). Regardless of the place of conduct, the instructor tries to activate the participants: he asks them questions, encouraging them to look for answers, gives examples, checks knowledge by means of tests. The scope of the theoretical issues complies with the examination requirements.

What are the practical classes?

During practical classes, participants have the opportunity to practice the operation and maintenance skills of selected devices. They also learn how to choose the right device and get ready for work. The instructor teaches how to safely proceed in the event of a device failure or an accident. All these skills can be useful during the practical test, during the interview with the examiner. The teacher assesses the participants on a special evaluation sheet. Only by earning the right number of points will you be able to take the correct exam.
Working devices are used to conduct classes, on which you can practice the necessary skills in practice. The lecturers make every effort to ensure that the participants have the opportunity to learn about the types of devices that are representative for a given group, e.g. A and B type platforms, slow-moving and self-propelled, boom and scissor lifts. For the courses in the field of crane operation, these are gantry cranes. For courses for forklifts and telescopic loaders - counterbalanced forklifts, variable reach, lifting the operator (JCB, Jungheinrich, Toyota, Linde). The devices are available during trainings conducted in Krakow, Katowice and Warsaw (Ursus), in the training halls of the Center.

When are the classes held?

We publish the dates of open classes on an ongoing basis on the website platformedukacji.pl. We encourage you to check what dates are currently available.
Most of the open trainings are organized every week or every two weeks. Some trainings may start once a month.
Classes are organized on different days of the week, including weekends and afternoons, so that full-time employees can take part in them.

We organize closed training sessions attended only by the company's employees. If you are interested in such training, please contact us directly. We will then determine your training needs and organizational details and provide you with a quote.

How much does the training cost?

The cost of the training is determined individually. It depends, among other things, on the number of employees who will participate, what is the subject of the training, and what scope of issues will be covered. Employers who decide to train their employees are offered preferential rates compared to those applicable to open training.

How do I pay for the training?

Payment is made in accordance with the Center's payment policy, on the basis of a proforma issued by the Center. We allow the possibility of deferred payment - this requires special arrangements between the client and the Center (it may be necessary to sign an appropriate contract).

On what dates are closed trainings held?

Training dates for companies are agreed directly with the employer. We are flexible in this matter and we can adapt to the client's needs.

Can the training take place in a location chosen by the client?

Can the training take place in a location chosen by the client? Yes, our instructors can go to the place indicated by the client. If the training is organized at the client's premises, he is responsible for ensuring the appropriate conditions: teaching and technical facilities. He should also ensure appropriate safety conditions and provide efficient, working equipment that has important inspections: a conservator and periodic technical inspection.

Is the length of the training adjusted to the needs of employees?

During the first contact with the client, we ask him to provide information about the employees who will be trained. On the basis of information about experience, position, qualifications, we can determine whether employees need full-time training, from scratch, or shorter, for more advanced. The duration can be very different - from 10 to several dozen hours.

Will the curriculum be tailored to the needs of employees?

Yes, the curriculum is created on the basis of an interview with the client about his employees. If people are trained, for example as operator assistants, the curriculum may cover only some of the topics. For those who are in other positions or have recently been employed, the program will cover all the topics required for the exam.

Is the examination fee included in the training price?

Yes, if it is a training course that ends with an exam, the cost of the exam is included in the price.

Do all trainings end with an exam?

Most of the training courses organized by the Center end with an exam, but not all. There are topics for which an examination is not planned. Such information can be found on the pages with training descriptions.

Who conducts the exam?

The examiners are authorized persons from such organizations as the Office of Technical Inspection, Transport Technical Inspection, and the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers.

When is the exam taking place?

Exam dates are set by the examining unit. We check these dates on an ongoing basis in order to plan the schedule of open training courses in terms of them. We do the same when organizing training for companies. Thanks to this, we can provide our students with the shortest possible waiting time.

How is the knowledge of training participants checked before the exam?

Tests are usually carried out before the training starts to establish the participants' level of knowledge. Instructors also check participants' progress during theoretical and practical classes. Only positive results of these tests allow an external examination to be taken.
Regardless of this, our students can prepare themselves for new qualifications, using the materials posted on the training platform.

What is the form of external exams?

The exams usually consist of two parts - theoretical (knowledge test) and practical (with the use of devices).

Are the permissions enough to start working?

Authorisations issued by the UDT or other organisations are a document that allows you to work with a particular piece of equipment. They are valid for a specific period of time, usually 5 or 10 years. UDT qualifications and others are required by employers to work in a particular position. They are valid in Poland, but can also be honoured abroad, depending on the regulations of the country in question.

Can the granting authority decide to withdraw or suspend them?

Yes, it may happen when it is found that a person who has these rights violates the provisions or rules of work safety.

Are Polish qualification certificates also valid abroad?

Whether the authorizations issued by Polish institutions will be valid abroad depends on the regulations in force in a given country. Polish documents may or may not be recognized in countries where the system of regulation of the profession is similar. The European Union countries have signed the directive on mutual recognition of their qualifications. Also Norway or Switzerland, Polish entitlements can be recognized and exchanged for those issued by these countries. Unfortunately, in some countries the UDT qualifications or others are not universally recognized documents and, even after translation, they are not recognized. When choosing to work in such a country, it is worth having a certificate in English issued by the UDT - CERT unit. The center can also issue a training completion certificate in line with international standards. Both documents are recognized all over the world. Their release involves an additional fee.
