The only thing needed to operate this equipment is a HDS licence, which can be obtained after passing an exam organised by the Office of Technical Inspection.
What is the aim of the training?
During the above training, the participant acquires the necessary theoretical as well as practical knowledge in addition to gaining HDS qualifications. The qualifications acquired at OSO entitle, among others, to operate HDS - hydraulic truck cranes. Deciding on the Operators Training Centre has a guaranteed approach to the exam, after which one obtains the HDS licence, authorising to such activities as operating HDS. Curriculum
All HDS courses that you will find in our offer are designed on the basis of the guidelines of the Office of Technical Inspection and current legislation. Our aim is that during the classes not only the most important regulations and rules of crane operation are presented. Our main goal is to prepare the trainees for everyday tasks and unexpected situations in the above mentioned operator's position.
On our courses you will learn about, among other things:
- construction of hydraulic truck cranes
- information on technical supervision
- duties of the HDS operator
- basic information on the use of the equipment
- how to operate the equipment correctly and effectively
Each participant in our courses will be provided with the necessary study materials along with a list of the topics that most commonly appear on examinations before the UDT board.
What are the necessary powers?
The UDT licence is awarded after passing an examination, conducted by a team of delegated inspectors by the Office of Technical Inspection. The examination tests both theoretical knowledge and technical skills for operating the equipment. Following successful completion of the course, the trainee is awarded the necessary authorisations and receives a course certificate. These authorise the operation of all types of HDS mobile cranes, for all makes and outreaches. The certificates can also be issued in foreign languages.
Requirements
The following requirements must be met in order to be accepted onto the operator course:
- you must be at least 18 years old
- you must have at least a primary school education
- a medical certificate of no contraindication to work as an operator must be provided
