HDS cranes are primarily used on construction sites and in other industries. The use of these cranes appears to be indispensable in several industrial sectors, ranging from construction sites to the sorting of containers.

What is a HDS crane?
It is a heavy vehicle equipped with a hydraulic truck crane giving us mobility on the road and the ability to use a crane to lift material to higher floors. It is one of the most versatile heavy vehicles giving us the ability to transport materials.
Where HDS cranes are used:
- are used in the construction industry,
- are used in the forestry industry,
- are used to organise containers.
Use in the construction industry - The main use in this industry is considered to be the transport of heavy building materials over short distances and their loading and unloading. They are also used to feed building materials to different floors.
Used in the forestry industry - here, its application is quite simple, consisting of changing the hook so that a specialised grapple catches the felled tree and transports it.
Sorting out container ships - This involves the vertical positioning of shipping and storage containers. Namely, the HDS crane has to place the containers fitted together in two separate rows.
HDS mini cranes
They are mainly used for the installation of oversized windows. Simple handling and small size simplify working with them. Instead of hooks, they are fitted with suction cups to help work with windows or glass. They provide safe manoeuvring possibilities for glass from a weight of 300 kg up to 3 tonnes.
HDS driving licence

Those who are allowed to drive HDS vehicles must complete an UDT operator course.
In order to join such a course, several requirements must be met, and these are:
- Completion of 18 years,
- Certificate from an occupational physician,
- Driving licence category B or C
- Education at a minimum basic level.
The document confirming our authorisation to use an HDS crane is valid for a period of 5 years. HDS cranes are used very frequently and can be seen on construction sites and when transporting various loads.
Transport using vehicles with an HDS crane structure is safe insofar as the transported goods are secured with turnbuckles and safety belts. HDS cranes are not complicated heavy-duty vehicles, so it takes relatively little time to learn how to operate them.
